Designed to help participants build the infrastructure to ensure that day to day activities are
conducted in a manner that consistently meets customer requirements.
  • How to identify and improve a process in your area of responsibility.
  • How to track the relationship between customer requirements, process performance, and
    operations effectiveness in the context of specific areas of accountability.
  • How to implement the concept of continuous improvement.

Conducting Performance Appraisals
Designed to help participants learn skills and tools for effectively using the performance management
process to achieve Business Plan targets and to realize individual and work group capabilities.
  • How to establish work expectations, priorities, standards, and productivity levels necessary to
    meet hospital goals.
  • How to communicate expectations and standards to every Associate and to regularly review
    the Associate's accomplishments.
  • Formally record and evaluate an Associate's performance in meeting standards and
    expectations in order to grant appropriate merit increase and to develop training plans.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide you with tools needed to improve your success in finding
and hiring the best people for open or new positions in your organization.
  • How to reach more qualified applicants.
  • How to select the best candidate using proven tools.
  • How to improve use of hiring administration/support processes.
  • How to maintain compliance within applicable laws.
Pre-work Requirement    

Practical Coaching
Designed to give dpartment/group leaders the tools and skills to effectively manage Associates
performance enabling them to perform at the highest level.
  • How to create a Discipline Discussion Planner.
  • How to reduce attendance and tardiness problems.    
  • How to hold Associates accountable for accepted values and work standards by confronting
    unacceptable  performance.
  • How to motivate Associates; get them to willingly work toward organization goals and objectives.
  • How to match Associate task specific development levels.
  • How to positively reinforce good performance.
Pre-work Requirement

Business Planning
Designed to help participants focus on both strategic and operational level business plans. You will  
learn processes and tools to develop both types of plans.
  • How to serve as a framework for decisions or for securing suport/approval.
  • How to provide a basis for more detailed planning.
  • How to explain the business to others in order to inform, motivate, and involve.
  • How to assist with benchmarking and performance monitoring.
  • How to become a building block for the next planning cycle.
Pre-work Requirement

Gap Analysis
Designed to identify performance gaps.  
  • How to utilize tools to systematically identify the contributors to performance gaps and
    prioritize those contributors.
  • How to identify root causes and possible countermeasures for key contributors to performance
    gaps.

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
The purpose of this FMEA is to enable managers and management teams to effectively use an
ongoing quality improvement process that acknowledges risks for errors and designs an approach
that will minimize their impact if they were to occur. The following areas are addressed:
  • How to define Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).    
  • How to identify the role of FMEA in error reduction strategies.     
  • How to describe the JCAHO requirement of FEMA as it relates to Patient Safety Standards.     
  • How to create a practical application (i.e. drug labeling, packaging and nomenclature).  

Basic Statistics and Statistical Process Control
This workshop is part of the Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification program but can be provided as a
stand-alone workshop.  Basic Statistics and Statistical Process Control is an introduction to
Descriptive Statistics and managing work process through the use of Control Charts and other basic
statistical tools.
  • The following are required prior to attendance:
    - Completion of Analytical Problem Solving and Process Management workshops
